The Taylor County Recreation Department has facilities for hosting youth baseball and softball tournaments, and is also home of the TCHS Lady Vikings, TCMS Vikings and Lady Vikings, softball and baseball teams.

The Recreation Department provides year-round usage of a ¼-mile walking track, playground areas, and picnic pavilion.

Baseball, Softball & T-Ball
Baseball, softball, and t-ball play Dixie Youth. Registration begins in February with the regular season beginning in March and continuing through May. All-Star games are played in June and July.
Football, Cheerleading & Basketball
Football, cheerleading, and basketball play in The Flint River League, which consists of the following counties: Chattahoochee, Crawford, Dooly, Marion, Schley, Stewart, Talbot, and Taylor.
Football and cheerleading registration begins in August with the regular season starting in September and continuing into November.
Basketball registration is in November with regular season games beginning in January and continuing through February.
